He's indifferent suddenly

I have been dating him for last few months. He was my ex for a long time and we got back together this year. August has been very rough and harsh for us. He suddenly stopped talking with me. He stopped caring about me. He even didn’t care to send a text to me on our anniversary!! I'm mentally exhausted, and scared. Is he regretting this patch-up? I really miss him.
