My email has worked well for years any my large mailbox size has been more than adequate. I use OE. For the last month or so people have been telling me emails are bouncing back with the message that my mailbox has exceeded its limit. Originally the settings were that the message stays on the BT server for 5 days and this has always worked fine. Because of these problems I've now changed it to 2 days but still emails are bouncing back. I'm regularly having to go on the server and delete messages.

The only thing I can think of that coincides with this problem is my Blackberry phone. Would this really be the cause of it? Anyone else had this kind of problem after years of working well?

OE can delete the messages as it downloads them. Don't bother leaving them on the server.

Its my work email and need to leave them on the server for a couple of days so that my colleagues can access messages without having to go to my computer if I am out of office.

Its always worked well before just seem to have this hiccup now and it coincides with me setting up the Blackberry to receive mail.

Well maybe you're getting a higher volume of email these days and it's filling up faster.

Do you know how much room on the server you actually have?

No noticable increase in volume of mail.

Mailbox is 200mb with additional capacity of 100mb and attachments 25mb.

Like I said messages were retained on server for 5 days up to a month from now and reducing this to 2 has still not solved the problem.

Sounds like you should call your provider and ask them what's up.

I'm assuming you're not getting 200 MB of mail in 2 days.

I noticed my blackberry creates "delivered" emails when I send a message through my blackberry, so I end up with two emails on the server whenever I send an email instead of just the one sent email. How often to do reply to email through your blackberry?

Ha, no, not at all.

Had our IT guy look at it today and he couldn't see what was wrong.

Might switch off the push to Blackberry tomorrow to see if that works although I can't fathom why it would. Just seems to coincide with that.

Thanks anyway

Oh really, I've never looked at that. I do reply quite often using the phone but they are usually only short messages.

Don't the replies include a quote of the original message? So they'd be at least as long as the email you're replying to, and then there's a duplicate of that created, so, if that's a pretty frequent thing, I can see how that could easily occupy more of your server space.

Yeah you're probably right. See there was never a problem before and I was pretty sure it was down to the Blackberry although couldn't think why.

I'm definitely going to take the push off tomorrow. Hate reading emails on the phone anyway!!!
