Do you beleive in souls?

How do feel about yourself? Do you see yourself with a soul or do you see yourself as just flesh with chemical reactions? Also, Where did the concept of a "soul" originate from?

(befoe i get flamed this is not meant to piss off people who beleive in evolution just a question about souls.)

Because I don't think the mind is separate from the body, so when you die your 'essence' goes with it.

the idea of having a soul is lovely, but to be quite honest i dont know if believe in them. But i also dont believe its just flesh with chemical reactions. I dont know, and i guess we will never know :/

It just stops. The soul for me is a part of the brain, so once the brain dies, so does that.

My flesh had a chemical reaction to baked beans once, damn bottom burps.

I really dont know what i think or believe i am. All i know is that im here, for a purpose i do not know of yet.
The flesh with chemical reaction, i quoted from the OP but i think they meant how science and evolution explains our feelings, like they are just chemical reactions in our brain. Personally i do not believe that.

When my friend described his NDE, that convinced me of the existence of soul/spirit.
I know he was not pulling my leg, he had/has no reason to.
