Clouds from the Window

As I lie on my bed with my leg raised high
I watch with a glistening eye at a sight
The clouds are swiftly and silently passing
Onward at a rate and without a blight.

The colours and shapes are a fascination
The flurry white curls as the dark builds up
There is rain sure coming and the sun is hid
For moisture and rainbow can not be seen.

The blue that peeps out as they speed on their way
Is every so cheerful, it gladdens my heart today
Then out pops the sun as those clouds pass away
The rays beam in the window, the sky's no more grey.
