Book I read 12 years ago xD

So 12 (almost 13) years ago I was in 7th grade. In my reading class my teacher read with us a small series of books. I don't remember the names. But I remember the main character being a girl, with epilepsy who was also the valedictorian of her school class. and there was some creepy man in it too. If anyone knows what I'm talking about could you please help me xD . Thank you in advance.
