Got laughed at for wearing a gold chain, saying it was tacky and I needed a new fashion stylist! Pffffft, I don't even have an old one, so no sackings required!
But what is tacky about a gold chain, not like it's a soveriegn ring.

Who cares what people think. Maybe it is tacky and maybe I would think it is but if you like it, wear it. Unless you ask someone, it's really rude for anyone to tell you it's tacky.

But the advantage of a gold chain is it helps me know where to stop shaving in the morning.

I have no idea if I would personally find it tacky as I have not seen it. However, even if I saw it and found it tacky, I would not say so unless you asked.

It reminds me of the time a girl I know, as I was carrying a Louis Vuitton purse, told me she found them ugly. First of all, that's really rude since I did not ask. Second, it's a freaking Vuitton bag so even if it was ugly, the name of it alone trumps anything and third, her purse came from a thrift store so I doubt she's in a position to judge my bag for being ugly.

It really grinds my gears when people make rude comments like that. So wear the chain, even if it's tacky and let people talk. If I had a quarter for any time some ignorant woman commented about my stuff I'd be rich.
