It seems to have worked for the most part at least, lol. But don't get why he burned the whole top of his hand when the tattoos themselves didn't cover nearly that much surface area.

Maybe he knew he wouldn't have the juevos to do it a second time so he just found a way to cover the whole thing in one shot.

I would guess that after burning the first part, he would not be able to do it again for the other 4.

Being burned by an iron, though not that bad, was not fun. I'd never willingly do it again. Though mine was more of an accident.
One dumbass attempt I could understand but not more than that.
