Are there some people we'll love forever and never truely get over?

I think if the love is strong enough, we will love them forever, no matter what happens throughout the relationship.

It's really hard to get over someone, because first of all, it takes a lot to fall in love with someone, and it's hard to just brush it off when the relationship is over.

Yes minus the "special" because he's not exactly good for me. In fact he's a nutbag...and doesn't know the meaning of respect...he drinks like a maniac and smokes too much pot...and after doing that, he goes mad.

every person we love will be a different feeling, a different sort of love... we should always cherish those we have loved before, because we will never feel the same way about another person...

and yes... i believe love, or at the least the memory of that love, will be with us forever despite what happened in the relationship...

I can't speak about anyone elses emotions,only my own! I may hurt for a while but get over it completely in a while! Faster if there is an acrimonious split up!

It's hard to know what to do about my feelings, especially because I didn't fall in love with his manical side, but he's sweet side, that always comforted me when I needed it.

6 months. I'm finding it very difficult to get over him. People just keep saying "well get over it". But for goodness sake's, if it was that simple, I wouldn't be in this pain right now.
