Miami Heat- 113
Chicgo Bulls- 96
Final
Shaq, Dwayne Wade, and James Posey powered the Miami Heat in beating the Chicgao Bulls and winning the best-of-seven series 4-2.
The Heat pounded the Bulls from start to finish in a dominating performance. Dwayne Wade played brilliantly despite a bruised left hip, but this night belonged to... "The Diesel".
Shaquille O'Neal was full of life and had his swagger back in finishing with 30 points, five assists, and grabbing 20 rebounds.
A limping Dwayne Wade showcased his leadership skills: 23 points, six assists, and three rebounds. With Dwayne Wade spending the majority of the game on the bench, James Posey and Udonis Haslem played their best games of the series. Posey added 18 points and Haslem hit for 17 and grabbed 14 rebounds.
The Heat used a swarming defense to contain Chicago's 3-point shooting and prevented its two guards from having huge nights.
O'Neal, Wade, Posey, and Haslem used dunks, rebounding, 3-pointers, and free throws to dominate the third and fourth quarters.
Miami had a commanding 15-point lead to start the fourth, but saw the lead dwindle to nine with five-minutes remaining. Miami got timely 3-point plays, and quickly rebuilt the lead.
The Heat may be moving onto the second round, but those same matchup problems are on the horizon when the New Jersey Nets come to town.
Kidd, Jefferson, Carter, Collins, etc. pose a difficult hurdle for the Heat. Miami needs Wade at 100% to even have a chance of staying competitive in this series.
