Furthermore, even in the absence of evidence for the global sustainabilty of vegan agriculture, the argument remains for the individual. If it is unnecessary for a particular person to consume animal products then it can be said to be wrong to do so.

Obviously all farming is subsidized, but notice that I said the "hell out of" in this case . There are certainly different degrees that need to be considered here.
