@Willi Said

we had a back yard of clover.
shame it isnt "exeptable"
looks nice, rarely mow it, grows on its own.
even if you don't want it.
seeds blowin around?

I have a lawn full of various weeds, but the Grass itself is Buffalo and I thought I'd do myself a real favour last week and bought two 4 liter containers of Weed n Feed.

I've had it for over a week now and read the label last night,it Kills Buffalo Hmmmm, thinks I won't be using it now .

i've done that.
the bug bomb we bought last year didn't kill spiders.
everything else
no worries, outside got sprayed with good stuff.
i'm gonna have to google buffalo grass.
the $40 crabgrass kill didn't work, or it ain't crabgrass.
looks like it

Buffalo is a broad leafed grass and very hardy, will take the full Summer sun and frosts in Winter.

Crab Grass,we have here also, rotten mongrel bastard stuff it is once it takes over we have a hell of a time getting rid of it again.

Luckily I figured out years ago that weeds don't like being watered with Boiling Water, they tend to die for some reason

Yep cheaper than weed killer and twice as effective But mostly I only use that on path's between pavers and driveways.

i'm gonna remember that, try it next summer.
for the yard, i'm gonna get down, and rip each crabgrass bush apart, then hit the root with a couple drops of everything killer.
i've excepted the fact that if it kills this stuff, its gonna kill the grass anyway.
this way i kill the least grass

Thanks, the Australian accent has always been hard for others to understand, probably because we throw more slang than actual English into our everyday language.

Something I do with weed killers Willi,is cut the top off of a plastic coke bottle( down to where they have the label )then put that over the weed you want to spray, that way it only kills that weed and no over spray makes everything else look sick.

As for the Boiling water?it's cheap and doesn't hurt the environment

i like that idea.
my wife says there is to much to pull.
seed in spring.
we almost have a yard.
i do miss the clover.
easier to take care of.
don't see as many rabbits.

combine a hot shot of steam to the pop bottle.....

limited kill....

this is doable.
i see a huge green market.

Willi I can't see missing Clover or bloody Rabbits as a big problem actually . The Steam?well I dunno about that,I thought the same thing a few weeks back. I had our steamer out doing a job on Floor Tiles and sat there steaming the weeds (like you thinking it would do the trick),but the bastards seemed to love it and continued to grow bigger.

Same with cockroaches I don't spray them anymore I make a small flat dish out of Aluminium Foil and put Bi Carb or baking powder in it and just leave it where they gather.

Little buggers love the taste and eat it,then wander away and explode because what they ate expands in the gut .

Cheaper than sprays and won't hurt the environment
