3DS price cuts and offers, & the future of Nintendo

Nintendo have announced three things:

1) They will reduce the Price of the 3DS by up to 40% where it is sold.

2) Those who have bought the 3DS at it's original price will be able to enjoy 20 free virtual console games at no cost before august 12th.

3) President Satoru Iwata is taking a pay cut of 50% and so0me of his directors are taking up to 30% pay cuts.

Are one or more of these going to raise the sales of the 3DS do you think, and what about the future of Nintendo too?

Nintendo was taking the lead at the beginning of the new generation.

But I haven't been paying much attention to consoles for awhile now ever since I started going digital distrib for the PC.
