Maybe I've been fed some misinformation here, but I heard that Irn Bru isn't in production in the USA because they have a law prohibiting clear drinks from having caffeine in them. Yet things like Red Bull and Mountain Dew are clearish yet do have caffeine in them.

Has someone been feeding me bulls***?

That's actually a law in Canada, but not the US. That's why there's no "regular" Mountain Dew in Canada.

You can actually buy caffeinated water in the US. No joke.

Ah it could have been Canada he was talking about, that could make sense.

Caffeinated water. sounds interesting.

Yep, from Wiki with regards to Irn Bru:

"Irn-Bru sold in Canada contains no caffeine, as until recently only dark coloured drinks were permitted to contain caffeine. As a result of this, and the omission of quinine, the taste is different, and the restorative effect is almost nil. "

Haha, seems like a good idea. Plenty of people don't like coffee but might want caffeine if working nights or whatever.

You can buy caffeine pills too, which I occasionally use (though I cut them in half). It is nice to be able to sip at something caffeinated instead of getting it in a single dose though.

Yeah I know people who take caffeine pills before playing football.

Fortunately for me I enjoy coffee so I don't need supplements.
