Supposedly it absorbs through the skin and you get a kick similar to drinking coffee without having to drink coffee.

That sounds like it takes away the enjoyable part of coffee!

For the hair, it is suppose to stimulate hair growth, make hair thicker and repair dry/damaged hair.

It also has benefits for the skin.

True, but some people don't have the time to sit and enjoy a cup or coffee,or they don't like coffee.
