Kodak printer help

I have a Kodak ESP 3 All-in-One printer and it will print and copy but won't scan? When I press the scan button, the on/off light blinks.

Any suggestions?

Oh, that thing is LONG gone.

Did the software have any kind of a 'solution center' or troubleshooting guide in it? I've had two printers with this computer and they each came with one.
