nothing wrong with folks breaking into groups.
sports is about groups.
it's how we see our group better because (X).
but then being earthlings after the game.

Well, Tim and I are both technically black, but he's dark skinned and I'm very fair skinned.

If we need to get a taxi, I hail it.

There's definitely a bias against people with darker skin.

Same here. I'm the lightest skinned in my family. Once we were driving through some small towns and we stopped at 6 or 7 different places whose bathrooms were "out of order" Mom needed to go pretty bad by the end so I went in and cleared the way. I had instructed the boys to just whip it out and go there on the floor in the front of the store if we were refused one more time. Luckily we found a store that was ameanable!

I'm sure that's true. You might have already commented on it earlier in the thread, but the topic of the show that I was watching wasn't about how other people treat different skin tones.

Using you and Tim as an example, it would be like Tim disliking you because you're too light skinned and "you think you're better because you can hail a taxi". That kind of thing.
