Time: Realized or Created?

It's just a measurement. Does a foot or a yard actually exist? Does one second or one hour actually exist? Those questions have the same answer . . .

well i dono all wat u guys said, but if u wonna answer the question: created or realized: well its realized to the fact that created things were created at a specific time, and they didnt exist be4, while time, u can't stop it so they realized it (but i dono in the yada yada yada philosophy thing (though we took part last year about time and still i dont like philosophy )

Well, we have established a certain time that must have been based somehow on the moon phases, day and night, seasons, and probably some other astrological things. So, time pre-existed man. Man just made a name for it.

IMHO time is/has not been invented by humanity....

say if Star X explodes after Star Z went red a certain period has passed between this two events , time is the value of a measurement taken between events according to a reference system ( time can be measured in days , hours , weeks , years , millenniums , according to the rotation of the earth around the Sun ) if we take another reference system ...say the rotation of Mars around the sun we will get a different value

time is relative simply because there is no Universal reference system

Time is conncted to space.
Time is the fourth dimension.
Until us scientists change our minds in twenty years. which we will do

I think that makes sense. Time exists, but humans have divided it into different segments.

its hard to explain but say the time a 2 cm steel cube (weing about 500 grams and the gravitational pull is 9.8 g ) reaches the floor from 100 meters altitude is called a......Bong ( random name...but damn i'd want one)

so taking this refference system....how many bongs does it take to go get bread ???

let's change the refference system now...same situation but you are on mars , the gravitational pull is 8.6 g but all the other variales (such as distance to the shop , weight and distance ) are the same....

you get a totaly different value....wich is relative with the same one....

same goes for days/weeks/years , if say we go to another planet....you can say the time acording to two refference systems : the time that that planet takes to sorround the sun ( or whatever refference system you use ) and the time that earth takes to soround the sun.

these are relative because of the distance between said planet and said sun...
