My Poems I Wrote For MYP

Highs and Lows

Distortion flooding me
Yet no sound
In this tiny room of mine
I am sorely bound.
Struggling to break free of this
Firestorm in my mind
Battles fighting there and here
I always win, you'll find.

Thunder joins in the fight
I saw you come in
Earth trembling beneath me
Your last deadly sin.
Catapult my soul
Through the black of night
Destroying everything in it's path
As I myself take flight.

Anywhere away from you
Is a happy place
Hiding away from it all
But I can still see your face.
All these crazy people
No longer seem insane
Helpimg me get through this
Past the Acid Rain.

Hopefully one day you'll see
How arrogant you are
TUrning other peoples' lives inside out
Leaving them with a scar.
These noises in my head
Still wont go away
The reign of terror lead by you
Will forever stay.

But most of all
I despise the pictures in my head
I don't know how they got there
I wish that they were dead.
That way I would be free of you
Free of all the lies
Free of all the lows
Left with all the highs.

Keep Walking.

Tiptoe to the end of time
Nobody is there
But you?ll never know that
Because death?s so unfair.
Kill the demons on the way
Don?t bother looking behind
There is nothing left for you
Nothing left to find.

Destination getting closer
You know it?s for the best
Even if you don?t want to go
It should lift weight from your chest.
Everyone is so pleased to see you go
You didn?t know you were so hated
How could you not realise
You got this news so dated.

Once the world is free of you
It will be a better place
No more anger, spite or hate
Left with hope and grace.
You?re almost there now
Alone as you deserve
I?ll be here to push you back
Should you make a swerve.

There you are, you?ve made it
Go inside, don?t come back
We finally see the end of you
At the end of the track.
It was a misadventure knowing you
Full of confusion and danger
You truly were an odd one
My spaced-out, unloved stranger.

No Place Like Alone.

Do you really need me,
Or is it more a want?
I don?t know how we got here
Do you?
So many questions
Where are the answers?
You have the answers
Don?t you?

Eating through my mind
The world has stopped spinning
It probably won?t start up again
Well, not for a while.
Looking around this frozen room
Nothing seems right
We have lost the battle
Let us start the fight.

There is a tidal wave
Consuming my life
It takes me to an all new high
There is no end in sight.
You can help me if you like
I?ll give you a clue
That is totally wrong
Guess again.

Stars are clouding my nights
Smothering all high life
Sinking like a battleship
The sound is indescribable
Yet bliss.
When can I get rid of it?
You have the answers
There?s no place like alone.
