Is a pregnant woman a 'mother'?

Are women who dispose of their infants in skips, mothers as well

Or mothers who use their babies as weapons to hit people with or as a thrown object?

Or drown them in the bathtub?

So then all of the conotations surrounding the word mother are not positive.

its how you feel in yourself ...not all women are maternal..and to do that they must have a mental health issue x

i know what you mean about that feeling is the best thing in the world,and all you want to do is protect,i felt like a mother soon as i felt that,and the feeling gets stronger and stronger,and even if that pregnancy ends early your still a mother

So then the concept of motherhood is a subjective one?
