Try living with my GF wen shes sick.... it becomes the end of the world.

I dunno, I don't act like it's the end of the world, usually people can't even tell I'm sick, until they hear being heaving in the bathroom.

Edit: My bad, I thought you said "try living with your gf wen she becomes sick, ect. ect." oops!

Yeah, at least hold on to it until its worth while, not 'i have a cold!' 'try giving birth!'

He said he went to work with flu....many women after having a baby leave the hospital after 6 hours now only to go home and get on with it, including looking after the other siblings..more so if their a single parent.

Giving birth is an 'I win' card now is it?

Are you just one big walking stereo type?

I think it's the....child within...us that comes out when we're sick, and perhaps more in men, (some men) because women have always been the carers, so men expect to be "cared for" when they are sick.

As many of you "regulars" on here are aware, I'm a retired nurse. A sick person needs to be nurtured. Nurturing speeds healing. It's nice to know that someone is there for you when you are sick enough to require bedrest. We have some home remedies that have been handed down in the family. They have become "comforts" in and of themselves! For a cold, Hot green tea with honey and buttered toast. Also little sips of either chilled gingerale or room temperature ginger ale. Of course you need your mom to place a cold wash cloth on your forehead and wash your face and hands with a warm wash cloth. And you need her to smile at you and tell you to rest and you'll feel better in no time at all. I wish healing and nurturing for those in need, bybee
