do you feel sorry for the earthquake victims?

you have got to feel sorry for them. I mean, it was an event that was beyond their control. I personally wouldn't like to be caught up in that situation, but I have to live with the fact that one day Wellington could be hit by a big earthquake and they continue saying that it is overdue.

I think the countries giving relief should give some, but the government should give less and more from the charities. The New Zealand government is giving more to overseas disasters than to ones that are happening at home. Lets just hope that they can rebuild and get on with their lives

Lets face it though New Zealand gives a lot in comparison to their total budget. But OSM is right it could happen to anyone, yes i feel sorry for them but feel no responsibility for it and so wouldnt donate personally. And the kids will grow up fine i reckon, no worse than already were probably i mean humans adapt to all different kinds of living situations. But still their generation will never have the living comforts of a more established country such as America and Europes.

I lost my concern for the human victims. I guess because it was shoved down our throats so much. I feel terrible about the animals though. Being left behind to die. Unacceptable. That's who I feel sorry for. Those non-human victims.

ofcourse but in this case it wasnt human actions which caused tis problem so the ppl who die i acept there deaths as natural

I do feel sorry for the people who died in the earthquake.
I think earlier in this thread it was suggested that the people who died were terrorists and that they danced in the street after 9/11, I do not believe that, I think Pakkistan was being confused with Afghanistan which has terrorists and their supporters there. I think people should donate to these pour inocent people who died, but I have heard that only a bit of a donation goes to the people who need it.
