That's b/c the movie wasn't very popular, so there wasn't any worry about the series being disappointed in it not living up to be as good as the movie. Not to mention Stargate is easier to have other plots for it. I just can't see how the Terminator tv series can be as good as the movies or have any different plot other than robots coming from the future trying to kill the main characters.
Yea and thats why you dont write television story lines for a living...

I think they will have plenty of story lines for the show you never really run out of them when your talking about a sci-fi show...
