Working for a cleaning company

Not much point to this post haha, but I work for a cleaning company called Merimaids this summer, hopefully get to go back in winter and next summer too for some extra pennies for uni

Anyone else worked for a cleaning company like this before? We clean private houses - usually rich smug people who are too posh to wash their own mansions.

And I was sure you were not a scrubber.

my mom used to do that for her friend, because she loves cleaning, I think it's an easy way to earn money if you're willing to do it, sometimes maids & such get looked down upon though

I couldnt give a toss if people look down on me for it - better than working in a fruit packing factory which i started out doing! I had no other option this summer and needed money for uni. If anything its an inspiration to see the type of home I'm gonna go for when Im qualified as a pharmacist and rolling in it

haha, no Im not married, but not looking either, sorry! Which means you'd have to pay my company around ?30 a week for 2 of us to come in and give your place a once-over ha. Of course we'd be in for an hour or 2 so I'd only get about ?11 for it hrmph. Money-grabbing company!

I own my own very small cleaning company. I clean 1 house a day. I charge an adverage of $100.00 a home sometimes more if they want more done like sheets or what ever. I start at around 9:00am and am done at around 12:00pm every day, gives me time to do errands go to the gym, have lunch with the girls. Get home have my own house clean and supper on the table! Been doing it for 12 years now

Why not just do it on your own?

Don't share the profits with anyone.

Na, I dont have the time/money to buy in my own cleaning supplies and equipment, and since its only temporary it's handy enough. I rather like the people I work with as well
