noisy neighbours

hi wondering if anyone can help i am a council tenant and i have neighbours that are renting the property next door privatley.the landlord says they can not help as their tenants have signed a two year contract but they play loud music i have asked them several times to turn it down and they are quite pleasant about it and then the next day or so it starts again and i find myself forever going ro
und or banging on the wall.
it is driving me mad just as i go to sit down at the end of a long day to watch tv the thumping bass starts.

You can ask them nicely to turn it down, other than that theres nothing you can really do except phone the police, but you can only phone them if they are still being niosey after 11pm at night. welll thats the way things are here anyway.

or. bring them to my neiborhood, theyed get shot

or maybe tell the landlord to have them sound proof their walls. that will definitely decrease a lot of the sound. I'm sure they would be willing to compromise.

Now adays you have a right to not have noisy neighbours 24/7------------its no longer after 11pm.

You have rights to complain about noise anytime that is disturbing.

check with you city councel on noise controls.

but will have to call he police, and you may have to several times for them of realise you or anyone else will not put up with this.

give them a list of music u like so you can with them

We used to have a noisy neighbor that worked at night. When he came home he would turn his music up and stomp around the house starting at about 2 in the morning. His noise would wake everybody in the house up, and when I asked him to keep it down, he refused. After a couple of days, my wife would wait until he went to bed usually around 7 or 8 in the morning and she would turn up the stereo and give him a taste of his own medicine.

It only took a week to get him to see our side of things and quiet down.

it doesnt matter if you own the house or not or whether you have a 25 year agreement. if you are a nuisance neighbour you can now be evivted!!! i know all this cos my parents have been having probs with their neighbours so we now know the law. you have to speak to the police as well and they will give you a form to fill out and in agreement with the council and the landlord you can get things sorted.
