scope for sociology

i am a graduate of sociology having major; urban sociology n optionalfamily n marriage,research n survey.
Can any one tel what is the scope of sociology in foreign countries.
What jobs can offered in respective field?

Basically you need a PhD and can be a professor/researcher at a University.

is this the only scope. i mean either teaching or research

Ye i agree, and you'll need a recognized PHd, like oxford for example..

Universities primarily want researchers. If you want to teach, go for a small college.
