1. Invade invade invade!!

2. EXTERMINATE!!!

3. We take no prisoners, but we do on cuba..

4. Just incase the first load of Bombs didnt actually kill enough people, you always need to hand out another can of woop ass..

5. Tea and biscuits at 3.30pm...

At this rate somalia will become a thrid world country with people starving and poverty rife....

Somalia.

What a mess. The US aren't helping either.

By the way, does anyone know of the old Somalian saying?

I and Somalia against the world.
I and my clan against Somalia
I and my family against the clan.
I and my brother against my family.
I against my brother.

With the US wading in with helicopter gunships and a bigass AC-130 gunship, it seems like trying to put out a fire with gasoline.

I have a question though, why the heck does the US think they have the right to wade into any country and unleash a heck of a lot of ordinance on the populance, even if invited in by the "government" of that country?

Important line from the article:

@Guardian Said
The US attacks have the support of the Somali government... The US "has a right to bombard terrorist suspects who attacked its embassies in Kenya and Tanzania", the Somali president, Abdullahi Yusuf.

So, where is the problem, exactly?

Well, you answered your own question it seems.

We may not like the US engaging in military action anywhere, but in terms of politics, no one has a problem with it.

Good Job 'politics' isn't the criterion of right and wrong then.

Well if you want to have that debate, my personal opinion is that no human being has the right to take another human being's life except in absolutely direct defense of another life, whether it's his own or not.

*shrug*

From a more practical perspective, this is a relatively minor military action, in a nation that welcomes it, aimed at eliminating a small group of terrorists that have already blown up buildings.
