I despise the Boston Red Sox! They are the boil on the a** of America.

#1: Jeff Bagwell traded to the Houston Astros for Larry Andersen.

Jeff Bagwell was drafted by the BoSox in the 4th round of the 1989 amateur draft.

Jeff Bagwell(first base), was the 1991-NL-ROY, 1994 Major League Player of the Year, and the 1994 National League MVP.

This potential first-ballot Hall-of-Famer was traded by the geniuses in the Red Sox front office for a relief oitcher.

Look at his numbers:

(1994)
- .368 batting average
- 39 home runs
- 116 RBIs

(1997)
- .268 batting average
- 43 home runs
- 135 RBIs

(1999)
- .304 batting average
- 42 home runs
- 126 RBIs

(2000)
- .310 batting average
- 47 home runs
- 126 RBIs

Larry Andersen stats:

(1990) - Boston Red Sox
- 1.23 ERA
- 1 Save
- 3 Earned Runs
- 25 strikeouts
- 0 Wins
- 22.0 Innings Pitched
* December 21, 1990: signed as a free agent with the Padres.

Well, that trade certainly paid huge dividends. I thought it was idiotic when that deal first went down, and I still think it was an idiotic trade to this very day.
