I'm currently working for a hockey team and wanted to know any suggestions for music to play during the games. This would involve quick clips of music for during penalties and fights. I've managed to find some good music with nice intros that work well for the short clips part.

What would you like to hear while at a hockey game? I need some cool hard music that gets the fans going.

Please remember the songs must be clean or easy to edit (so no songs that curse every 5 seconds) Maybe the occasional curse that we can take out.

'Pounding' by Doves really goes down a storm before Manchester City football (soccer) matches, they have an instrumental version that's impossible to get commercially but I still think the vocal version work well. It gets everyone going waving flags or bashing the head of the person in front of them with an inflatable or whatever.

Thanks a lot for your response... I guess this thread didn't really catch on with anyone else haha. We just finished our opening weekend and unfortunately the team lost 6-2 on Saturday and were shutout 3-0 on Sunday. I wish we were able to get more fans in, but with those scores it's going to be a bit harder.

Haha! I support my local(ish) British hockey team, Chelmsford.... We're awful and get about 200 folks in at best. Anyway, anything by Guns N' Roses or AC/DC is usually a winner, 'specially if you get some older folks.

I like hearing stuff by the Foo Fighters at hockey games. I remember going to one once and "DOA" was playing. I'd also suggest Incubus songs, and I've heard Goo Goo Dolls playing too.

They basically wrote the song about hockey...
Not a big fan of Nickelback myself, but they tour with their hockey equipment which i love

For the most part... the songs played are the current rock alternative songs. Anything Foo Fighters is great, like Annski said. Like Muse, Pearl Jam, Silversun Pickups, whatever

Yea I've been suggesting a lot of AC/DC, Foo Fighters and Guns n Roses.... I forgot about Nickelback, nice call on that one

I'm a huge fan of The Offspring myself so I always suggest that to the guy in charge of music... I'm gonna link him to this thread so keep giving suggestions please

I don't really care for Sick Puppies but this song is very fitting for hockey.

Kalinka. It has fast and slow parts, for different situations. No words needed if well played. Was played during Red wing games and others.
