Emo (Post how you feel wether good or bad)

emos have already got a grip on themselves,so i wont use that phrase.

it is about time the youth of today grew the f*** up and stopped being f***in victims.

i do not dispute the fact that there are suicidal,emotional and unbalanced kids around,and some of them have a real reason,but the stats are no more than when i was at school.

but you have more options now than when i was young,with the government paying you to leave home at a younger age if you "cant" live at home,and so many youth groups and welfare groups.there are well established councilling groups etc,and you have options for work now,as they have dropped the age that you can work now.

so for f***s sake,stop this emo s***,pull ya fingers out of your arses and make some decisions for yourselves and get on with life.if you choose to live in misery,its your f***in choice,and should not become a stupid sub culture.

witchcraft,bikers,gangbangers,nazis,,these are sub cultures who have a reason and a life style with strong beliefs,and i can understand them,but an emo.....f*** off it sounds like a muppet.

and before i cop crap about not understanding,i have had two attempted suicides and have many scars.i am also on anti depressents and bi polar medication.

Errm, you should have read the thread, then you wouldnt have made themistake of thinking emo and suicidal thought/action go habd in hand. Emo is a subculture, its fashion, just like punk, yet less on ethics.

i did red the thread,and he is more confused about emos as i am,he places himself in a category he does not believe should exist.i would have said,"i have emotional issues and..."
emo as a subculture.how can it be,emo's are supposed to be people who have extremely strong emotions,is that not correct?
ok,i will grant you,i may have gone to extremes on the suicide point,i still fail to see how or why these people could form a subculture with there own fashions.
most sub cultures even punks,have get togethers,rallies,feed of each other to enhance thier experiences and enjoy life,maybe not the way we like,but please tell me what emos enjoy,or how can emos enhance each others lives,would it be like an aa meeting where you stand up and tell people your problems and everyone applauds you.
every time i see a group ofemos,they are just sitting on their own wallowing...

The terms i have emotional issues and i am an emo are two different things to say, you cannot substitute one for the other. Many emo's get together, socialise, listen to the music which talks about teenage problems, dresses in the culture and in many cases get together and defend there right to do so. Like a subculture.

What can emo's enjoy? Well things that other kids or people enjoy, games, frienship, stuff like that. How can they enhance each others lives, well by being there for each other through tough stuff.

Finally, Your analogy to an Alcoholics Anonomous Meeting is terrible. Its not like people would be happy that others have problems. The way you put it is like someone gets up and says "I have Bulimia" and everyone else would clap. Totally wrong.

You can't label yourself emo. You just...are. I personally love them, especially the guys because many are sweet and shy, unlike 'preps'.

They're just themselves, nothing wrong with that.

WOw we- I am kinda sick of the hole idea of emo- kind think its funny i am way in to the idea of trying to get a better senses of people- I am just like over boxes and categories and I know they have a value for like society so they can neatly put us all away! thats cool if your a colored SOCK

I just dont understand them thats all. Dont love em or hate em one way or the other but it seems like they really enjoy the attention.

Also you assumption is that people are nothing more than the clique they put themselves/get put into, which is totally untrue.
