Well, on the show, Lisa often take up causes that involve feminism or some other political movement most kids her age wouldn't normally give a s*** about, so I don't really see how this is out of character for her.
Also, wasn't there a
Simpsons episode ("Once Upon A Time In Springfield" ) where Bart got really mad because
The Krusty the Klown Show got a female star who, like, made the show really girly, so he decided to make some change about it? So, again, I don't really get how it's any different for him to express similar feelings about the new
Ghostbusters movie.
As chaski said, it's a cartoon, so it doesn't have to be 100% realistic. Yes, there are shows like
Arthur and
Jakers! that actually portray realistic kid characters dealing with realistic kid problems, but
The Simpsons isn't among them - like many shows, it has its own rules and it sticks with them, and Lisa being unrealistically politically aware for her age has been established as one of those rules in early seasons, with episodes like "Lisa vs. Malibu Stacy" and "The Old Man and the Lisa". So, again, how is it unrealistic for her to complain about sexism in Hollywood?
you know that fox won't any episode of " the simpsons " that will deals with any of these views of yours.
I haven't watch " the simpsons " for a quite awhile. I got turn off by the horrible " the simpson movie ".
if I watch these two episodes above, you mention. I would have an open mind, because of the style, that I remember of the characters of the show, not what the writers have wrote.
what you wrote sound more adult than child would understand. I am not sure if a teenager would understand.
why would everybody care what you preaching, if the simpsons would never saying about this stuff, you are preaching on the tv show.
I do understand when lisa would grew up, defending woman's right and being feminism.
what is lisa'a age on the show now? is she 22 now? she is under 10 like she look like, where would lisa get these ideas from.
yes, I can see bart might understand some of these things. if he like " alex Keaton " on " family ties".
I think you need better characters represent this storyline not lisa and bart simpson.
