Everyone has a different perspective. Objecting things based on a persons flawed perception of reality cannot be used to garner the support of people that sees things differently.

Are you saying that my flawed perception of there being no cause for exterminating jews won't garner the support of nazis?

No, I'm saying that everyone has an incomplete perception of reality, and as such, no one can convince someone else using arguments based soley off of what you percieve to be reality.

So you are saying that a society that relishes wallowing in innocent victims blood can't be convinced that what they are doing is wrong.

Again, no. I'm saying that there are two sides to every story.

So is killing a baby...If you dont have respect for one life, then I dont have respect for you.

have you been in the same situation? i think not. it's easy to judge but you wouldnt be so harsh if you were in the same situation. ive had an abortion and ive regretted it eversince but it was honestly the best option. maybe have a little compassion.

Do you think you would still be regretting your decision if you had the baby? If not, then it wasnt the best option. I will not show compassion for anyone that doesnt show compassion for a human life. You paid to have it killed, its on you.

In her situation, with that kind of pressure on her to have the abortion, or at least deal with the situation in a way that would get her life back to normal and to get her family and friends back... I don't think you can really say it's so black and white.

Well I would never kill for my family and friends unless their lives were in danger. If they dont want to talk to me because of decisions I make, then I dont need them...hence why I dont talk to most of my family...Because they dont agree with the decisions I make and visa versa...Im not changing for anyone.

I know you well, and I know you're very strong willed and independent, and that you're not just BSing here. You really don't change for anyone and you've always taken care of yourself.

However not everyone can do that, especially when they're younger.

Usually I'm against abortions but honestly as a teenage girl myself, I can't see just being able to walk off and support myself and a baby if I got pregnant and my family kicked me out and my friends shunned me. So I understand her point of view and I can see that she does regret her situation but she did what she felt she had to.

We all make bad decisions sometimes.

Yep when I was in catholic elementary school I was one of those pro-life nuts (ewww) who thought abortion was wrong in every circumstance.

Now? Well. I'm the most prochoice person I know. Abortion should be accesible in EVERY SINGLE CASE no exception.

I mean, if I got pregnant 10 times, guess what? Yep, I'd have 10 abortions! And I make no apologies to ANYONE for my beliefs.

You have no right to tell me what to do with my body, and you have no right to tell me how to "raise my kids!"

A soul doesn't commit to the body until after birth. You pro-life quacks need to get out to the astral realm more and do some studying instead of reading a 2000 year old book written by chauvinists.

BTW how many of you pro-lifers eat meat? Why not sit back and REALLY think about suffering before you b*tch about the rights of something that doesn't even know the meaning of the word (or anything else for that matter).

Oh wait, did god give you power over the animals? Ohhh okay. Well god gave me (not you) power over my own body and whatever grows in it. So go figure.

unknown. it's not fair. could have should have would have. maybe if there is a next time struggling through 9 months and placing it with a couple will settle better within yourself. I heard that from teenagers so many times. The kicker is, when the child was born, the family and friends totally accepted the baby and were supportive with whatever she decided to do.

That's a harsh lesson to learn, especially as a teenager. You only have yourself to answer to in the end. Be true to yourself No Matter What.

Dear Unknown93,

I fell your pain. I also believed the lie that abortion was the best solution once. I know what the depression and sadness feels like. I cried so many tears. It was 32 years ago.

There are groups out there who can help you get through this. Most crisis pregnancy centers offer post-abortion counseling. They won't judge you and it really helped me.

I got married and had 7 kids since then and life is good. You life will get good again too.
