Why would anyone love snow? I just do not get it.
I lived in California most of my life, and saw snow only a couple of times, and sure it was sort of neat, for a change, but then I ended up in Iowa, and omg. Forget that noise. Or lack of it.
You have to put on tons of clothes to go outside.
You have to scrape the car windows, and thaw the car out.
You have to unfreeze the doors to the car to get the door to open, if it's windy.
The roads are treacherous. Accidents everywhere.
People fall on their asses, especially old people, and break bones.
You can't stay outside long because your hands and face freeze.
You can't grill out, or go for walks or anything, without putting on full armor.
Your heating bills go thru the roof.
Why would ANYONE like this nasty stuff?
"oh it's so pretty...., la la la".
Well isn't life great for all you spoiled sob's with garages and remote-starting vehicles, that have no business to worry about out doors (such as construction, or maintenance, or grocery cart pushing, or whatever... yeh all you spoiled mofos it's "pretty" all right, if that's all you have to do is "look" at it.
But for the rest of us normal people who don't have the cushy-cushy life-style -- it basically -- sucks. And that is reality. For real, hard-working, go outside and do-it type people -- we all hate it -- and for good reason.
SNOW BLOWS.
You sound as though you have not been prepared for it.
How about parking your vehicle in the garage?
Or, put a blanket over the windows?
Not tons of clothes... just proper layering of a few.
People that fall shouldn't try to walk in slippery shoes.
People that crash their cars don't have a clue about the physics of snow.
I've grilled on my patio with a foot of snow on the ground.
Walks are interesting and beautiful.
Put another log on the fire to keep your heating bills down.
You haven't needed to acclimate yourself to the cold so you sound as though you don't have much experience with it.
If it's as bad as you say, why do so many people live in Alaska, Greenland, Iceland, Russia?
What about Santa?
