Hi, I live in the city of Perth with my partner and our 4 kids - but next week we are moving to a small country town down South.

Perth population - 1.5 million

New Town Population - 1,400

It's going to be a drastic change but we are all looking forward to it!

But it's got me thinking, do you live in the Country or the City? And how is it working for you? Would you rather be in the opposite?

the biggest thin you will need to get use to is the quiet at night. and it being so quite you can hear what next door is watching, even two doors down depending how far apart the houses are :]

Yes, the quiet will be a big change - but a welcome one!
Don't think the neighbours will be keeping me awake at night - it's a 160 acre block!

O live in the country

Pros: Quite and can do whatever I want

Cons: It a communte to anything good.

It matter what is important. I rather be in the city but I sure once there I would get want to be in the county. I think the Next move I want somthing in the middle. Not to far out and not to close in

I like the country, quite, nice however...it has it pit-falls....you never want to be too far away from the city. In a time when the economy is not doing good, it would be harder to find a job. Your kids may not have the same opportunities as those that go to school in the city...etc...

Personally I am one that would rather live in a small awesome town but commute 30 minutes to a big city to work. I will not do more than 30 to commute...i don't think (scratches head)

That is what I was trying to say. I just could not form the proper thought.

The city.
Why would you live anywhere besides the city?

I moved from the city when I was 6 years old and went on to grow up in a small town that has a population of MAYBE a little over 100 people. I don't like it and can't wait to go some place a little bit bigger. So no more of this country crap for me.

It's more exciting, there's more to do, better chances to make money, more people...

that last one kinda sucks actually.

Because I don't want to be there. Too many people. I like the slow, laid back country life more than the busier city life.
