TFS Top Poster

'Newest Member' speaks for itself, as does 'Most Points Today' ... but how does one become a 'Top Poster' .. is there a magic formula or is it at the discretion of the site?

The person who has posted the most comments in this 24hr period??

Advice from any previous 'Top Posters' would be appreciated!

Or maybe I need to know the secret handshake or something!

I think it really is a reflection of who has generated the most points in the day, at any given time. The Top Poster often changes during the day (starting at midnight, NM-time). Ask Allyson, she's been in that category a lot...

Top poster is the most number of posts in threads for that TFS "day"

so all posts in threads, journals, picture comments and friends profile comments count toward that number.

PM's do not count (nor do they give you points.)

TFS time is actually US Central time or GMT -6.

Which isn't actually NM time, New Mexico is Mountain which is GMT -7... if anyone cares.

Top poster basically means that you've got alot of time on your hands and yak alot.

I'm not sure why some of my posts are worth more points than others though.

It's kinda like the TFS computer can tell me within fractions of second how worthless my response was.

This will be why I'm never a top poster .... it's timism I tell ya!

But seeing as I have .. doesn't going with a specific time band for top poster sort of handicap those outside of that band?

Make sure Allyson's asleep. Just teasing,she's good at this. I think it's in the timing. Sometimes I say very little and get top poster. Other days I'll type away, Nada.
