Well you go around this museum that has pics and vids on how they built it. Then you go outside and stare at the 4 heads..yeah..I think watching bread rise is more cool
I think as a kid I enjoyed it more, but as an adult? naw

A: He 'Gutzon Borglum' believed that these presidents represented the history of the United States. George Washington represented the birth of the United States. Thomas Jefferson represented the growth of the United States. Abraham Lincoln represented the preservation of the United States, despite the horror of the Civil War. Theodore Roosevelt represented the development of the nation.

Q: Why did they decide to carve only four faces?

A: There was not enough carvable rock to add more faces.
Some people did want a fifth face to be carved.... In 1935, many people thought that the face of Susan B. Anthony should be added to Mount Rushmore. Gutzon Borglum explained that there was not enough rock remained that was strong enough to be carved.

i was looking at Mount Rushmore on tv the other day and wondered why did it stop after 4?
