You may well have admited it was a fake, but you didnt leave it at that did you? Had to have the last word. And its not unusual to ignore satire, because most people know that satire is fake. If someone had made a nasty smear campaign then yes, maybe a statement would be needed, but not for satire.

And it certainly changes the "point" you made by saying "the orginal quote came from lady gaga's website." The "original quote" is completely fictional, so your "point" is completely wrong.
