when i met monkeymadness i felt so unbelievably comfortable with him, like i'd known him forever, i mean i stayed the night the first day we met, with him on the sofa i might add!!!! and we stayed up so late talking it was amazing.

On my first date with my fiance it certainly felt like that. We had gone to a movie first and then went to a nearby diner to grab some coffee. We were up until almost 3am in the diner sitting there and talking. It was unlike anything I had ever experienced with another person before. It was just like we fit so perfectly and I felt like I had known him for years when I had only met him briefly a few weeks prior to that.

I say those sort of feelings do exist!

When I met Matt I knew I wanted to be with him, and that we were gonna be together for a long time - a total instant attraction. I wouldn't say I felt like I knew him for years, but I felt as comfortable with him as I did with people I had known for years.

i've met people like that, its a really special experience and pretty rare i think.
its certainly not the only element of love, a mutual growing and learning about eachother is a beautiful thing too.

That sounds like how most of my relationships have gone also, however I now realize that I was never in love but only in lust I hope very much to one day really fall in love

I'm not sure If I believe that. Let's sit back and think about it for a second. Meeting someone for the first time and falling in love, I'm not too sure it's love. I agree with cube on this one. Most of the times relationships that start like that don't last. I had a friend who met a woman one night, went to see her again the next weekend, and then moved in with her. I didn't think that it would last one month. It ended up lasting a year. I was shocked that it lasted that long.
