I'll start. I think the movie Dune was absolute crap compared to the book which was
awesome. The made for TV mini series was much better than the original movie, although
some of the special effects in the movie were better...

Yes the original movie wasn't very good. i liked all of the books and mini series too.

Right now I'm into the new battlestar galactica. It has the lowest cheese rating of any sci-fi tv show I've ever seen. Great characters and good story. If only they had writing like that for star trek enterprise it would still be on today.

I've got the new Battlestar Galactica as well, that is the movie and Series One on
DVD. I have not seen it all yet, but I remember the original TV series. Seems
lame now but was quite good at the time. The new series is very different and I
have not yet been able to watch it all. Are you up to series 2 in the US yet? Is it
released on DVD?

Half of season 2 is on DVD and the other half is 4 episodes in now.

I have the old one on DVD and Buck Rogers which was produce by the same guy Glan A Larson i think is his name.

but one was an old next generation episode (the one with evil data's brother, i friggin hat him, lol)

and the other one of the new enterprise ones with the quantum leap guy

found a new planet and they started going crazy seeing rock monsters

I know thos epeisodes! Data's evil brother Lore was a pain! He showed up in a few shows but data finally dealt with him.

The enterprise episode you are talking about was when those flowers made them hallucinate.

No seriously, I'm glad you guys have something you can feel passionate about. All I got is cheese sandwiches.
