You marry someone slim with good looks then they get fat and ugly what do you do

Do you stay with them ?talk to them about the way they are looking or what ? As you married for better or worse

Yeah i have to agree. If you married him because you love him then hos looks really shouldnt matter. If it really bothers you ( which personally i dont think it should) then just find a way to bring it up or maybe get him a gym membership or something as a present.

I was fat and ugly when my wife married me. Now I've lost 45 pounds, and still losing. I'm much better looking without my fat face, etc. I have less hair, does that count?

It's kinda lame if your going too leave someone because they got heavier and ugly..why don't you work with them on it..if you love someone it shouldn't matter. Looks fade ...and if your only with them for their looks..then good luck on the relationship!

The main reason he should lose the weight is because it destroys his health. You can take my word for it! You might talk to him on that level, because your concern should be whether he dies on you, not that he's "fat and ugly".

You shouldn't notice if the person you love becomes ugly.

If you married them then you obviously have a relationship that is built on much more than just physical attractiveness. I think that there could be more of a problem cause if the change in appearance has effected how they are as a person. If their self esteem has really suffered or if it is getting them down. The best thing you can do is see how they are feeling about the way they look.

If somebody had a partner that had changed alot ohysically and they really wanted them to get back in shape then the subjsct had to be brought up with them very carefully. I suppose one way to do it would be to tell them that you really wanted to improve your health and fitness and ask them to do it iwth you as you would like the support. Tell them you think that you will do better if you somebody is there to help and support you. Say it on the grounds of health not phyisical attractiveness. Ask them to work out with you and come up with a good healthy eating plan together.

My boyfriend put on weight when we got together-I cant say it bothered me at all...if Im really honest I quite liked having more to get cuddled by! He's lost most of it again recently (which he wanted to do), and he found it odd that I wasnt bothered about it. I think if you love someone thats it-you love them, not their love handles or lack of love handles! As long as their temper/personality doesn't change and get ugly theyre just as good

Well you certainly wouldn't leave em for it but to say that looks don't count isn't fair either. I mean how do you have a succesfull sexual relationship if you don't find the persone attractive or as attractive anymore. What I would do in that situation is A. lead by example and B. encourage the person in a positive way.
