Making-up in car 'was a blonde moment'

A woman who was fined ?200 after she was caught on camera applying make-up while driving at 32mph has defended her actions, saying she was preparing for a date.

Donna Maddock, 22, from Mold in north Wales, was pictured on police video cameras with both hands off the steering wheel putting on her eye make-up.

She told The Sun that she had wanted to look her best for a date with a man who has a girlfriend and child.

?It is what I would call one of my blonde moments. I am so blonde it is untrue when it comes to things like that.

?I must have looked like Penelope Pitstop driving along slapping the make-up on, but it?s something all women do ? I can?t see what the fuss is about.?

She already had a drink driving conviction against her.

Some people should never be allowed to drive.

i second that, she should be never aloud to drive ever after that.. she cant be trusted. A car is a chunk of metal that in the wrong hands is a weapon... and i cant beleive she thought going to a date was a good excuse...

No offence lily but there seems to be increase of Air heads these days.. when i worked for the RAC personal injury our satistics showed an increase in female fatalities males kinda stayed the same, but inreased near holiday periods...

Driving is a serious problem that we all take for granded.. the AA reckon if you re tested everyone only 10% of people would pass... that mean 9/10 cars on the road are potential your death... f***!!

yep bro I know what you mean its not only the women tho I know some air headed males who think they can control a car at speeds exceeding 160km/h...even if they offer to drop me somewhere I usually prefer to walk....I consider myself a responsible driver and have been on the road since I was seventeen with only one incident when I was learning to back up into the garage and backed into the garage door dont know why people dont understand that a car is not a toy and should be given the respect it deserves as it can take lives in the wrong hands
