I would watch it if I got it on TV. I'm a bad American - sort of want Canada to do well because my main man JT is on Team Canada

Canadians are doing pretty well out there, although they've lost one game to the U.S. (4:5). The U.S. however has been surprisingly beaten by Slovakia (4:2)

It's obvious when you look at how the groups have been going. Russia dominated us Swedes yesterday, turning 1-3 to a 7-3 win because they managed to mentally bring us down. Great playing, really. However, the man of the match for Russia was the referee. Big idiot. Spearing to Johan Franzén's crotch, that should send the Russian out for the whole game. He got 2 minutes. Many of these incident kept popping up. Idiotic..

Canada, on the other hand, simply overpowered Finland in the other group. Despite their loss to USA, they are playing very well indeed.

Sweden... Well, we started off great and have played well in every game so far. Despite losing to Russia, we'll finish second in our group. Probably meet the Czech Rep. in the quarter finals (we kicked their asses in the group) and then lose to Canada in the semi finals

EDIT: Also, the world cup is actually held in Finland, although one of the two groups are based in Sweden. The semi finals and final (and bronze game) will all be held in Finland

I'll tell you what, Chrill. Traditionally in Russia Swedish and Suomi national teams used to be considered so to say suave and polite and thus are highly respected out there. If it doesn't involve Russia's position in a tournanent most Russian fans would root for them when they play say vs Czechia, USA or Canada. However the latest game between Sweden and Russia made an unpleasant impression. The Swedes were very rude. They seemed to concenrate on neutrolizing Malkin this or that way

John Tavares. Was ranked 8th in points this past season and he's only 21 years old. He's a natural goal scorer and playmaker, and best of all he's super humble about it. Good guy.

Caps lost, so it's NYR and New Jersey.

LA Kings and Phoenix Coyotes.
