I'm seeing that word used a lot around here lately.

the only "pub" we have in my town is the Fat Squirrel.

We have a bunch of bars, though. maybe its all really the same thing in the end.

IF the rest of the world will take us seriously from here on out. In my opinion, our reputation took a hit over the past decade.

Did they encourage shenanigans?

suppose. generally there are more w**kers in bars though

that "logic" has always baffled me somewhat

Here in the Clairemont neighborhood of San Diego, we have this Irish pub called the Old Blarney Stone, which is heavy on the Irish tradition, from modeling their exterior to look like something from the medieval times, to having live Irish traditional bands play. I'd definitely frequent the place if I were into pubs/bars.

i saw a proper bar room brawl in there, that was pretty shenanigistic

there was a video of it on YT years ago but i forget what it was called.

and here I was wondering if people danced on the bar

oh i know a few places where people have been known to dance on the bar when the notion has taken them. my mate fell off one once and hurt her back, it was fun making up the lie about why she couldn't make work the next day
