As a parent, what would you do if your son wanted to wear a dress?

Sure, I didn't mean it was yours, just wondered if there was a kid, hypothetically or not, what age are you talking about?

Take him to the store and let him pick out a dress to wear.

Yeah 8 - 10 is probably too old to be doing that, the mom needs to talk to him about that.

I dunno if I'd 'take' a son to a store to buy a dress or not, but certainly
at that age would not be overly concerned if I discovered
him playing dress up (maybe he sees his sisters doing it?).
Scottish men wear kilts, after all.

I think the world has bigger problems than a little boy wearing a dress.

Just imagine what Big problem's the 'world' could cause for a boy wearing a dress without a ' heads up- FYI ' type chat with a parent who cares enough to be understanding .

I'd let him wear a dress if he wanted to.. but I wouldn't let him out of my sight while he was wearing it, because I'd be concerned for his safety.

There are a lot of hateful people out there.

But on a serious note, I have to go with boxer on this one.

People can be hateful and other children brutal/vicious.

I might suggest a Scottish Kilt as a starting point...something that might be more "acceptable" and still feed the desire.

As he gets older one would have to have many discussions...

...at least in the USA "we" don't fully accept the gay/lesbian community... The Transgender/Transexual/Cross Dressing community is.. even farther behind in the "acceptable" category (IMO).

You need to protect your children while helping them grow into the person that they truly are....not an easy task.

I should have thought about that and seeing as I got a funny kudo for my comment, I realize there are hateful people out there who would take the opportunity to bully and even harm anyone who they feel does not fit their standard of normal. It's a pity really, all the ignorant close minded individuals.
