What would be the characteristics of a good parent.

Treating children as the unique individuals they are. Listening to them. Letting them make mistakes and then learn from their mistakes. Encourage them to listen to their own voice instead of following the crowd. Instilling a respect for others, including animals.Helping them to help themselves.Try to cultivate a sense of humor.
These are some things that come to mind right off the bat.

as a parent, you learn to forgive yourself as well forgiven your child. when you punish your child, make you sure, to doing that he or she does something wrong. not as a parent, you are blame for she or he, what you did was wrong. i mean don't act like your parents, if they were bad to you. only you treat your child, as your parents that the good things and as well, disciple your child. not to abuse your child, teach them right and wrong, that they teach their children. only your child tell you if you are a good or bad parent to them. as a parent, you try to be a good parent to your child, but that team effort if you become a good parent.
