The Dark Tower Series by Stephen King

I have to post a review of any previous post I may have written on the net over these 7 books I used to rave about. In truth they are repetitive and Stephen King's inclusion of himself as a character in the series does not work. Its one thing to write fantasy but when you keep coming up with more and more strange names and the vampires and other things just do the same things and you don't really understand how everything is connected up the books fail. They fail because the author lost touch with his readers and tries to advertise himself and other books he's written in these stories. It fails because the modus operandi of everything does not change in 7 books. It fails because there's a lack of novelty as the series carries onwards. Sorry, but this is my point of view.

I'm an outcast among my friends because I've never read any of these. I'm not really a Stephen King fan, though. The only book of his that I really enjoyed was Cell, which a lot of people seem to hate, so maybe my opinion doesn't count for much.
