Suzi,s Strawberry Ice with whipped cream

1 kg strawberries hulled
100g granulated sugar
juice of 1 lemon
Whipped cream

Put strawberries, lemon juice & sugar in a metal bowl, covered tightly with cling film.
Put the bowl over a pan of boiling water and leave to slowly simmer for 1 hour.
Drain off the liquid through a strainer and discard.
Freeze the friut 20 mins then beat with a fork.
Return to freezer another 20 mins, put in glasses, top with loads of whipped cream!
