people see being patriotic as racist. im very proud to be english, but im not very proud of england at the moment. its in a state! the whole world hates us cuz we ruled most of it at some point or another! and despite people saying britains multicultural, people dont realy like it being that way. my whole family are very much white, british and bollocks to everyone else but nice as pie to blacks or gays or foreigners when talking to them! immigration is a tetchy subject and this thread aint the place for it.

Some southern people don't like people who call themselves "northerners" because the general consenses of the "northerners" is that the south is full of inbred rednecks. No one cares about the civil war except for the reinactors.

Its nowhere near the same because the north didn't put the south through hundreds of years of oppresion and tyranny. The south just wanted to seperate from the north and start its own country. The slavery issue was kind of like the saddam hussein issue in the war in iraq, it wasn't the real reason for the war.

and anyway that site weren't racist or anglophobic or nothing, it was just a site for being proud and scottish, whats the problem with that?

How is that racism? Its more national. There are only a few races:
Caucasian
Black
Asian
Polynesian (Islander)
Hispanic
Native American
Mixed

Anthropologists only list 5 races:
Caucasiod
Negroid
Mongoloid (Asian)
Polynesian (Islander)
Bushman (Aboriginees)

People from India are really Caucasians according to antropologists. A few people they dont know how to classify such as the Inuit (Eskimoes). Native Americans are considered early Mongoloids, because after all the Indians did cross over from Asia. Hispanics are a mix of some Caucasoid but mostly Native Americans (including Central and S American tribes, but some are a mix from North American tribes).

I could be wrong about the anthropology part though, I never had a class on it. I only read something from a pretty old encyclopedia. But I still cant see how this is racist, people from England and Ireland are both white.
