Public entry the good children!
November 10, 2009 @ 05:24:41 pm
The following was found posted very low on a refrigerator door :

Dear Dogs and Cats:

The dishes with the paw prints are yours and contain your food. The other dishes are mine and contain my food.
Placing a paw print in the middle of my plate and food does not stake a claim for it becoming your food and dish,
nor do I find that aesthetically pleasing in the slightest.

The stairway was not designed by NASCAR and is not a racetrack. Racing me to the bottom is not the object. Tripping
me doesn't help because I fall faster than you can run.

I cannot buy anything bigger than a king sized bed. I am very sorry about this. Do not think I will continue
sleeping on the couch to ensure your comfort. However, dogs and cats can actually curl up in a ball when they
sleep. It is not necessary to sleep perpendicular to each other, stretched out to the fullest extent possible. I
also know that sticking tails straight out and having tongues hanging out on the other end to maximize space is
nothing but sarcasm.

For the last time, there is no secret exit from the bathroom! If, by some miracle, I beat you there and manage to
get the door shut, it is not necessary to claw, whine, meow, try to turn the knob or get your paw under the edge in
an attempt to open the door. I must exit through the same door I entered. Also, I have been using the bathroom for
years - canine/feline attendance is not required.

The proper order for kissing is: Kiss me first, then go smell the other dog or cat's butt. I cannot stress this
enough.

Finally, in fairness, dear pets, I have posted the following message on the front door:

NOTICE TO ALL NON-PET OWNERS WHO VISIT AND LIKE TO COMPLAIN ABOUT OUR PETS:

(1) They live here. You don't.

(2) If you don't want their hair on your clothes, stay off the furniture. That's why they call it 'fur'-niture.

(3) I like my pets a lot better than I like most people.

(4) To you, they are animals. To me, they are adopted sons/daughters who are short, hairy, walk on all fours and
don't speak clearly.

Remember, dogs and cats are better than kids because they (1) eat less, (2) don't ask for money all the time, (3)
are easier to train, (4) normally come when called, (5) never ask to drive the car, (6) don't hang out with
drug-using people; (7) don't smoke or drink, (8) don't want to wear your clothes, (9) don't have to buy the latest
fashions, (10) don't need a gazillion dollars for college and (11) if they get pregnant, you can sell their
children

Public entry live everyday the fullest you never know !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
August 11, 2009 @ 11:50:38 am
One day a woman's husband died, and on that clear, cold morning, in the warmth of their bedroom, the wife was struck with the pain of learning that sometimes there isn't "anymore". No more hugs, no more special moments to celebrate together, no more phone calls just to chat, no more "just one minute." Sometimes, what we care about the most gets all used up and goes away, never to return before we can say good-bye, say"I love you."

So while we have it, it's best we love it, care for it, fix it when it's broken and heal it when it's sick. This is true for marriage.....And old cars... And children with bad report cards, and dogs with bad hips, and aging parents and grandparents. We keep them because they are worth it, because we are worth it.

Some things we keep -- like a best friend who moved away or a sister-in-law after divorce. There are just some things that make us happy, no matter what.

Life is important, like people we know who are special.. And so, we keep them close!

I received this from someone who thought I was a 'keeper'! Then I sent it to the people I think of in the same way... Now it's your turn to send this to all those people who are "keepers" in your life, including the person who sent it, if you feel that way. Suppose one morning you never wake up, do all your friends know you love them?

I was thinking...I could die today, tomorrow or next week, and I wondered if I had any wounds needing to be healed, friendships that needed rekindling or three words needing to be said.

Let every one of your friends know you love them. Even if you think they don't love you back, you would be amazed at what those three little words and a smile can do. And just in case I'm gone tomorrow.

I LOVE YA!!!

Live today to the fullest because tomorrow is not promised..

What differentiates a survivor from a victim
is that a survivor has the ability to let
go of what 'was' to survive what 'is'.

Public entry a great Poem
August 11, 2009 @ 11:43:44 am
I was shocked, confused, bewildered
As I entered Heaven's door,
Not by the beauty of it all,
Nor the lights or its decor.
But it was the folks in Heaven
Who made me sputter and gasp--
The thieves, the liars, the sinners,
The alcoholics and the trash.
There stood the kid from seventh grade
Who swiped my lunch money twice.
Next to him was my old neighbor
Who never said anything nice.
Herb, who I always thought
Was rotting away in hell,
Was sitting pretty on cloud nine,
Looking incredibly well.
I nudged Jesus, 'What's the deal?
I would love to hear Your take.
How'd all these sinners get up here?
God must've made a mistake.
'And why is everyone so quiet,
So somber - give me a clue.'
'Hush, child,' He said, 'they're all in shock.
No one thought they'd be seeing you.'

JUDGE NOT!!!

Remember...Just going to church doesn't make you a Christian any more
than standing in your garage makes you a car mechanic..

Every saint has a PAST...
Every sinner has a FUTURE!!!
Now it's your turn... share this poem

Public entry stay alive everysay is a great day ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
July 30, 2009 @ 12:23:16 pm
Let's all remember to take the time to LIVE!!!!

A friend of mine opened his wife's underwear drawer and picked up a silk paper wrapped package:

'This, - he said - isn't any ordinary package.'

He unwrapped the box and stared at both the silk paper and the box.

'She got this the first time we went to New York, 8 or 9 years ago....She has never put it on. She was saving it for a special occasion. Well, I guess this is it.' He got near the bed and placed the gift box next to the other clothing he was taking to the funeral house. His wife had just died. He turned to me and said:

'Never save something for a special occasion. Every day in your life is a special occasion.'

I still think those words changed my life.

Now I read more and clean less.

I sit on the porch without worrying about anything.

I spend more time with my family and less at work.

I understood that life should be a source of experience to be lived up to not survived through. I no longer keep anything. I use crystal glasses every day....I'll wear new clothes to go to the supermarket if i feel like it.

I don't save my special perfume for special occasions. I use it whenever I want to. The words 'Someday....' and ' One Day....' are fading away from my dictionary. If it's worth seeing, listening or doing I want to see, listen or do it now....I don't know what my friend's wife would have done if she knew she wouldn't be there the next morning. This nobody can tell. I think she might have called her relatives and closest friends. She might call old friends to make peace over past quarrels. I'd like to think she would go out for Chinese, her favorite food. It's these small things that I would regret not doing if I knew my time had come.

Each day, each hour, each minute is special. Live for today, for tomorrow is promised to no one.

If you got this it's because someone cares for you and because, probably, there's someone you care about.

If you're too busy to send this out to other people, and you say to yourself that you will send it 'One of these days', remember that 'One day' is far away....or might never come....

No matter if you're superstitious, or not, spend some time reading it.

It holds useful messages for the soul.

Don't keep this message.

This Tantra must leave your hands within 96 hours.

Send copies and watch what goes on in the next four days.

You'll have a pleasant surprise.

This is true even if you're not superstitious.
