Wow thats quite scary, I've lived away before, but never so far. But this is my dream job, so nerves be damned. Thank god I'll get the london living allowance cause bloody hell its expensive, the price of a studio around the centre is £160 per week!!!! I can get a decent 2 bed up north for that

What part of London are you looking at moving to? If you look into flatsharing it doesn't have to cost quite so much.
Good luck with the job, London's a great city.

Not quite sure yet, I've been told I'm based in London but not what part yet. My training is in Islington however they are providing accommodation for that period so hopefully I can get the feel for the place before I have to move permanently. How expensive is the underground though, when I went for my interview it cost me £4 to go one stop. Not a par on New York, I got a week rider (the whole system) for roumd $20 and it runs all day

It depends on what zone you're travelling in and whether it's peak time or not. Usually it's £1.80 for a single journey. You can get travelcards though (daily, weekly, monthly and yearly I think).

I think I might be working on the underground so hopefully might get on for free or discounted. Thats a question I need to ask.
About a flat share that might be a good idea, as i don't know anyone in london right now

Yeah i think you get complimentary travel if you work for TFL. It can be lonely if you dont know anyone down here. There are sites where you can meet people in the same boat but housemates are an ideal way to start.

we went to london just for the day and got some sort of a 1 day hopper that you can get on and off as many times as you want' and also you can use it on the bus that was a lot cheaper.
