Annoying
AAAAARRRRGGHHH!!
Political Correctness
April 26, 2006 @ 02:47:07 pm

This really annoys the hell out of me, when I was young we could eat hot crossed buns at school, we had a post box to post Christmas cards into and we had a nativity play every year. Now apparently we?re not allowed to do this any more because we may upset other people, WHAT!!! I couldn?t believe how far this had gone until I was listening to my radio on the way into work and heard that a school had banned hot crossed buns as some people my find them offensive, shortly followed by a report that to sing Baa Baa Black Sheep was racist and it now has to be sung Baa Baa Rainbow Sheep!! How can anyone find a children?s nursery rhyme racist? I have never heard of anyone taking offence about it being a Black Sheep neither have I heard anyone take offence about the line ?Yes Sir, Yes Sir three bags full? but now this is considered sexist. The government seem to be going out of their way to make everyone happy but all they are really doing is concentrating on pointless things which don?t need to be changed (the majority of stuff which is now being considered politically incorrect) while ignoring the things that really do matter (growing crime rate in most areas). If it wasn?t wrong 14 years ago why is it wrong now?

Wow. That's a little retarded. Baa baa black sheep? Rainbow?! Sounds gay...literally.
Sometimes when you try to overcompensate and be politically correct, it shows that you're really covering up cuz you're not.
*Shakes head* If people don't want cross buns or nursery rhymes, let them say so. I can see why they took out the nativity scene, which could've been counterbalanced with hannaka candles or something--but rolls and nursery rhymes? That's a little ridicuous.
